Was here with my boyfriend for tea recently, we both enjoyed our meal but I have to agree with most of the reviews on here! The service was slow and the staff were pretty unpleasant! It's a real same as this place used to be great!

I was there about 9 months ago and was not too impressed by the quality of cooking. I only ordered scampi, a simple dish, but it arrived barely cooked and squidgy. I had already complained about burnt starter so didn't even bother with complaining about the main meal.

Was hoping to go tonight but given the reviews I think I won't bother as it appears nothing has changed.

Shame as it was a decent place to eat a couple of years ago.

The area is barren of decent reasonable cost eateries and with a wealthy catchment area, you would think the place would be doing better.

All I am seeing is a small pub chain paying over the odds for a soggy remnant from brewers fayre then cutting staff and costs too the bone.

If your customers are noticing this and then telling you, then it's time to listen?

Never been the same since they stopped being a family friendly pub.

Be prepared to wait! Service is slow, drink or food, the way of serving has no thought behind it. Beer is invariably flat and food cold. Management couldn’t care less and one has to feel sympathy for most of the staff who are really friendly, helpful but farting against the thunder of management direction. And no,I don’t work there!

Nice local pub but the food is likely to arrive there frozen.

Great local pub which has a great selection of both food and drinks. Often have beer festivals and food specials. Staff are welcoming and friendly although it can be slow at bar sometimes. Great atmosphere and welcoming.
