This is an adorable little wine shop. Though they also sell a wide variety of beers and ales to satisfy the most discerning beer-drinking mother.

The price range is wide. There is a repectable selection of bottles of wine under a fiver (house wine is £4.50 a bottle) and going up the way, the choice is impressive.

The service is friendly, unintrusive and constructively helpful. And they sell a nice little cluster of chocolates and cheeses into the bargain.

So definitely worth a look next time you’re needing a bottle of something alcoholic in Musselburgh.

I like this shop for a special purchase, because like most people I pick up alcohol with my supermarket shop. When I need a bottle of whisky or wine for a present I like going here to chat with the staff and pick up one of their great offers.
They’ll offer sale or return or glass hire for a party which is quite unusual these days.

A welcome and much needed addition to the Portobello shops, the Fine Wine Company offers a variety of wines, cask conditioned beers, ciders and spirits.

The range is excellent and the staff are clearly knowledgeable. Wine is slightly more expensive than your supermarkets or the 3 for 2 offers at the chain across the road but this is to be expected for a more specialist store where any bottle you pick from the shelves will be good.

The only real shame is that they close fairly early in the evening compared to other off licenses which means you have to (and should) plan ahead your purchases

Offers some of the best imports my uncle who is visiting from Oz. Found some ale that was brewed in his home town.

Just offers a really awesome range and the staff know there stuff and are more than happy to help. It not been open for long but is one of the places to go for all you alcohol needs.
