I get married this year and thought i would go to sassoon Edinburgh 'the best' i was so dissapointed. My appointment was at 12 and i waited until 12.30, then throughout doing my hair the girl left me about 10 times, colour hadnt really worked and then i waited 15 minutes for someone to blowdry hair at an extra cost of £70, so total cost £170!. I did however call to say I wasnt happy with colour and they did my hightlights again at no extra cost. Lovely people in there but hair still isnt great. Sassoon needs to get some experienced people in there, everyone was about 20 years old!.

I looove this salon. Every time I go there, I feel totally relaxed in just being there, and in the knowledge that I am going to be well looked after and my stylist(now a girl called Dani) and colourist has great idea's on what to do with my hair. Each time I change it a little bit and always love it. My colourist Lynsey(she's brilliant btw and does stunning highlights on my hair)told me ages ago, that every month all the staff do 1 night of training on new hair collections, so they never stop and its always giving them new idea's to work on.. fab if you ask me.. :)
Its never too busy or overwhelming as its not that big, and like some of the other reviewers have mentioned the staff are fab, always look after me well. Oooh and get a coffee, their biscuits are yummy.. :)

Vey good salon. Highly trained stylists who take their time to get the best results.
Probably at the top end of most budgets but as they say 'You are worth it!'

Totally terrible DO NOT VISIT AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS
I thought by chosing a well known Salon such as this I would end up with a lovely colour- HUGE MISTAKE!!
If I had wanted orange hair with peroxide highlights (and a burnt scalp) then I would have just gone to the chemist and done it myself. It would have been better than what I have been left with from here!
Staff were friendly until I started to complain. Then I was told that it was what I had asked for.
£110 for this, I really don’t think so… Although the head colourist did attempt to fix the mess made by his collegue, I was eventually and very rudely told to leave by the manager in tears infront of my young son. He had already also pointed out my hair was orange a few hours beforehand (not bad for 3 really) but we were totally ignored and told we were wrong.
Terrible customer service and total rudeness from the manager. Her staff could definately teach her a thing or two about manners as well as basic customer service!
I am left to find somewhere that can fix this total mess and am stuck with a hat until this is done. THANKS VERY MUCH VIDAL SASSOON!!!
