The food was fantastic! Service was good, very polite maybe a little slow when we were there but still the food is well worth it!

THIS is the best Thai food in Edinburgh. The prices aren’t too bad and there are plenty of options for us vegetarians (something sadly lacking in other Edinburgh Thai restaurants). Highly recommend.

Really delicious food. Fantastic soups and starters. Tasty meat, seafood and veggie dishes, Really reasonably priced. I would recommend this restaurant whether you are out with friends or having a more intimate meal. A great atmosphere in a lovely location. Friendly service! I cant wait to go back.

I visited this amazing restaurant on friday the 15th july 2011, i had been recommended by my friends.
As soon i walked in the door i was made to feel most welcome, the restaurant inside is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated.
The service was relaxed and freindly and our waitress explained some of the dishes I was curious about.
When the starters arrvied, you could tell straight away they were made with love , fresh and very full of flavour.
I choose the Jungle Curry for my main, which the waitress explained was the hottest dish on the menu and was concerned that it would be too hot for me (which I thought was very considerate). When the main did arrive it was very spicy!! but not spicy for spicy sake, just hot and jammed packed full of flavour!!
Without a doubt the best Thai Restaurant in Edinburgh!
I have eaten in all most all of them.
The place was very busy but we were never made to feel rushed or was the service compromised.
I cant say enough about this place! Please go and enjoy, But Book before you do!!

A hidden gem. Great food. Beautiful decor. Very clean and tidy. Good selection of wines. Good service, too.

Excellent Thai food, I found it hard to decide what to order as the menu is so good. Good service too, it was very busy on a Wednesday night as it is so popular.

Visited this fantastic Thai restaurant twice now and will definitely eat here next time we are in Edinburgh.
We booked a table for a Saturday night and so glad we did as every table was taken. Groups were being turned away as they hadn't booked and they looked disappointed!
The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere and the staff were all very polite and attentive.
We opted for banquet B as it's a great way of trying a selection of dishes and finished every dish. The food was fantastic!
The Thai Orchid has become our main reason to visit Edinburgh, fully worthy of a 5* rating!

This is the most authentic Thai we have been to in Scotland. The tom yum soup is the best we have ever had. We were just in Edinburgh for the weekend, but we’ll definitely go back next time we are there. Good attentive service. Prices were reasonable given the quality of the food and service provided.

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Edinburgh. It used to be down on Grindley Street but moved up to Johnston Terrace a few years ago.
The food here is lovely, very authentic thai and isn’t overly flavored with coconut like some of the other thai restaurants in Ed.
The decor is very nice and calming and the staff are just lovely. Very curtious and friendly. They are always happy to advise and will help you choose if you are not used to thai food.
I used to live round the corner from the old restaurant and we regularly went here for take away - they still do takeaway in the new place. Worth it if you fancy a night at home and lovely food. I don’t think they deliver and it not cheapest take away but worth it.
Try it - you won’t regret it!

I have travelled to Thailand and the food here is spot on. It is so authentic and for all it is expensive it is worth the price if you are a fan of thai food. It is at the top of the Royal Mile so has a great view from outside. There is a three course business lunch offer - warning it is extremely filling!
