I admit I love sweets and chocolate. That's why all my friends keep joking with me. So it is normal I adore this place. It is cozy, beautiful and full with all kinds of temptations. The cupcakes are my favorite! These are the most delicious cupcakes I've ever had! Never dry, always fresh and warm, prepared with so much care! I'm addicted, but it's hopeless.

Time to put on the stretchy pants and get eating.

Cuckoo bakery is fantastic. The cupcakes are amazing! In every flavour you can imagine.
Lovely little place - can be quite busy but not overcrowded.

Worth the wee walk out of town.

Cuckoo’s Bakery is slightly out of town, but well worth a walk down Dundas Street to pay a visit.

The cupcakes are perfect, the tea and coffee are really good and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed.

What more could you possibly ask for?

So these bakehouses have been popping up all over Edinburgh as of late, but I love it and the more the better theres room for all! Cuckoos is cuckoo themed obv, with clocks and icons all over the place nice touch and the most stunning chandelier! Its also one of those quirky just stepped into a kitchen type places..

Theres limited seating but enough not to be too squished, the window seats are the best obv.. Theres no counter just a glass cabinet filled with the most amazing looking homemade cupcakes and the selection is gorgeous: red velvet, banoffee, lavender, carrot, peanut butter, vanilla, chocolate bottom, chocolate vanilla, chocolate chocolate, you want it they got it basically.. And, they are heavenly, the frosting is thick and tastes like a cloud.... Honestly...

There is a good lunch menu as well with a lovely selection of sandwiches tarts and soups.. The service is friendly and fast and the kitchen set up really works with blue and white tiles and white cabinets beneath so that you do feel as though you are sitting in a kitchen - I love it.. The coffee is Artisan Roast as well and piping hot not to be under estimated its hard to get a boiling coffee... Its fair to say Im cuckoo over cuckoos
