I have recently returned from honeymoon following a spectacular wedding with AMAZING cupcakes catered for by Dough Re Mi.
Luckily I found this bakery on Facebook as I was specifically looking for someone who could provide an alternative style of wedding cake. Most of all I was looking for cakes which would be delicious and healthy.
I was able to choose any design and the cakes were beautifully presented, with handmade designs on each cake.
The cakes were enjoyed by all, and were reasonably priced so there was plenty to go around. We were still enjoying them the day after the wedding.
I would highly recommend this bakery as a wedding caterer.

I am a taxi driver living and working in Edinburgh and regularly drop in to the Dough Re Me bakery on my way home after nightshift to pick up fresh, and sometimes still hot, bread and rolls. I am also an ex-baker for my sins, and can say without a doubt Dough Re Me are making the best quality bread I have tasted.
Whether you have the sour dough, baguettes, chilli /onion or olive bread, or just plain, old fashioned wholemeal bread, you shall not be disappointed the quality is suberb across the entire range.
p.s. Lars The Baker's jokes aren't bad as well.

As i type I am munching onion bread and looking forward to the chocolate cupcake i have waiting for me in the kitchen. The bread is mmmmmmmmm...our favourite is probably the folded tomato/chilli bread, although this onion bread is trying to make me change my mind. The cakes look great and they taste just as good-loads of yummy icing, the occasional massive blue icing dinosaur on top, and mmmmmmmm, the sponge is good too. I haven't tried the croissants yet but I intend to very soon-can't wait!
The bakery's nice too-I love going in and getting to watch the cupcake lady (as she is known in my head) ice all the cupcakes, and it smells great in there.

Inbal recently made 125 cupcakes for our daughter's eighteenth birthday party...they were absolutely gorgeous and tasted better than they looked! Everyone was talking about them!
If you are thinking about doing cupcakes for a special event...look no further...these are the best in Edinburgh!
Inbal's attention to detail, her pleasant manner and helpfulness made it a real pleasure to do business with her....My ten year old already wants these for her 16th!!
Thanks so much for making her day really special!

We are very lucky to have this great bakery in Edinburgh they are a lovely couple who are very passionate about what they do.
The smell when you go into the shop makes your mouth water & it is very hard to resist the selection of bread available, my favourites are the onion & the walnut.
The cup cakes are so pretty you almost don't want to eat them, however you can't resist them for long. Inbal is happy to cater for the more personal touch for that special occasion & has a great collection of photographs of some of her work.

We ordered a selection of cupcakes for our large family Christmas this year. It was a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the shop which made it easy to get our choices just right. The cakes looked fabulous on our Christmas table with amazing designs from tasteful snowflakes and wreaths for the grown-ups and santas and penguins for the kids. They not only looked good but they tasted delicious too- a great success! If you are ordering cakes you should taste the bread too, the onion loaf is heavenly!

Last summer my wife and I ordered an array of cupcakes in a 3 tier design for our wedding dinner celebration from Dough Re Mi. They are very professional and customer focused. Dough Re Mi also have a friendly and flexible approach to tailoring your needs and requirements.
We also like to go to the bakery and enjoy all the freshly baked bread which are delicious and are made in all varieties. Too many tasty choices!!
By the way, the croissants are simply just amazing!!

One of the best selection of breads and cakes I have ever come across, with something to tempt any palette. The cup cakes are visually pleasing and taste delightful. The only downside is the large selection to choose from, which can result in you spending to much time in the shop making your mind up. The smell as you open the door is to die for, coupled with the welcome you receive, makes you want to linger well after your purchase for a chat.

I own the photography studio a couple of doors down from Dough Re Mi, in Gilmore Place. In summer I can't open my door because the smell of the freshly baked goodies just wafts down and calls to me....... buy me, eat me!!!!
Produce is very tasty, I often find myself on the hunt for one of their scones or croissants.
Best of all is that the husband and wife team who run it are lovely. Great customer service and happy to have a good old chat..... it's a wonder I get any work done at all really.
