This hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the centre of Edinburgh. The reception area is fairly small with the bar just off to the side. Reception can get a little crowded if several people are checking in at the same time and it does result in having to dodge people going in and out of the bar. The rooms are very spacious, clean and tidy and the bathrooms are also quite large and very clean. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the room. The staff are all very friendly, including the housekeeping staff who are very understanding when confronted with grumpy, tired girls with hangovers. I’m sure they’ve seen far worse. If you don’t mind the short walk into the centre, I would recommend staying at this hotel. That said, there is no parking at the hotel, you will need to use one of the nearby long stay car parks but I think it can work out quite expensive - I would speak to the hotel first if you’re intending to drive

Standard Premier Inn stuff, bed fine, TV fine, shower fine, no complaints for a one night stay. Improved by the proximity of The Brauhaus (qv). Close enough to the centre of the city for easy access, a bit too far to walk from the airport bus route if you have many bags. I suspect the restaurant will be OK, but why would eat in a hotel restaurant in central Edinburgh?
