I ordered flyers online and went to pick them up today for the Edinburgh Fringe. There was a blue colour on the flyers that did not print and after further inspection noticed it was the main offer on the flyer, so they needed to get reprinted! I asked what he could do. Will they print them again? What will he do compensate me since they will be late? Then there was a bit of back and forth as you can imagine.
Long story short . . .
1) they are a printer that do NOT print pantone colours in a .pdf. Basically someone forgot to press the button that said print pantone colours. (The person who owns the place said he is not a designer, so he does not know about the button.)
2) Instead of getting a bit off, I have to pay £33 extra for them to re-print it! That's 33% more!
Not very happy. Hopefully they will get it right when I pick it up, as I am a bit desperate! Will update soon!
Will I go back? NO!
I have been a designer for 12 years, never ran into this before.
