Average at best, bread is fresh and ok, but cakes are below average, very disappointed! Oh and the lady who served me was very unfriendly had a frown on her face, and barely told me what the cakes was and assumed i only wanted two slices , didn't even ask if i wanted more, just plain rubbish service!

Best donuts in Edinburgh! Polish-style, the flour used is Polish which is great because it tastes better :> So many yummy Polish cakes so little space in belly ;< Highly recommend. Prices are very good as well!!

Nice bread, but no service at all. Very unreliable to work with.

Very friendly staff and tasty bread, with a good choice of options. It's open late, which is good if you work late like me. With a fresh sliced load at £1.30, why would you want to buy your bread in Scotmid next door?

Walked past this morning on my way to work and saw two of their employees move pastries to their green delivery van parked in Lochrin Place. When one of the pastries fell to the ground the guy just picked it up and put it back on the tray. I directly pointed out to the guy that he can't be serious, he didn't react and just moved on. You wont find me buying anything in that shop.
I'll be on the phone to the food standards agency shortly.

Abundant bakery which sells a variety of breads many with a Polish characteristic. Rye, onion, tomato and wheat always seem to be available and they cater for those with allergies. They also do a selection of HUGE cakes which are nothing like you've seen anywhere else in this city. It's extremely reasonably priced and I haven't asked but I'm pretty sure there are no preservatives or other baddies in these great artisan breads. Only thing I would say is that it feels a wee bit scruffy and unorganised sometimes but they are baking on site so that's probably why. Friendly staff, usually the same girl everytime I go in and she is always really pleasant. Good tip - ask for the bread to be sliced if you want, or you can take it away whole. I think you can even buy a half loaf in this lovely place!

Located slap-bang in the middle of Tollcross, the Pine Tree Bakery is a friendly little establishment that offers a nice variety of organic loaves and buns. Produced onsite, they also make some great sweet-breads, biscuits, and other sweet baked goods. The only thing that’s really missing are pies and other savouries. Aside from that, its a great place to go to get some good quality bread on the cheap.
