£600m to keep army on Falklands

MAINTAINING a British force on the Falkland Islands has cost taxpayers more than £600 million since 2001.

Events to mark the Falklands 25 years on

FOUR days of events will be held in the UK and the Falkland Islands next year to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Falklands war, the Ministry of Defence announced yesterday.
