Swiss ban on Red Sea crash airline

THE Egyptian charter airline whose Boeing 737 crashed into the Red Sea, killing 148 people, has been banned from flying over Swiss airspace since October 2002 due to safety concerns, an official said yesterday.

AN EGYPTIAN charter company whose plane crashed into the Red Sea on Saturday, killing scores of French holidaymakers, was banned from flying to Switzerland because of serious safety concerns over one of its aircraft, it emerged yesterday.
