ONE hundred primary school pupils will take over the Scottish Parliament's debating chamber next week as part of a nationwide competition to test their knowledge of European affairs.
Children from four Lothian schools will be among youngsters from across Scotland taking part in Euroquiz next Monday.

Twenty-five teams of Primary Six pupils will answer team and individual questions in a knock-out competition which will leave only two teams battling it out for the trophy.

The quiz will cover history, geography, sport, culture, EU institutions and general knowledge.

The Lothian schools which will be represented are Edinburgh Academy Junior School, Pinkie St Peter's Primary School in Musselburgh, Bonnyrigg Primary School in Midlothian and Mid Calder Primary School, West Lothian.
