Can this country really afford to keep giving welfare benefits to migrants?

I only ask, given that according to the Daily Express, David Blunkett says our elderly will have to work until they are well into their 70s as there is no money around. I would be upset if my folks, who paid into this country all their lives, were forced to work into their 70s, whilst migrants get benefits almost immediately.

#1. Well said. This country is a laughing stock. Throwing money at immigrants whilst stealing it from their own kind. Disgraceful.

"Migrants to learn rights"

That's all we need, illegal immigrants who know how to use their euro-human rights! Why don't the lefties teach them in their homelands, then they won't have to waste time when they arrive in Britain? They can start claiming freebies as soon as they set foot on British soil.

Try to comprehend the reality of the situation. Britain no longer has control of her own borders. We won't have control of our own borders until we withdraw from the EU. Look into it for yourself. Anyone with an EU passport can legally enter Britain. Migrants from outside the EU can obtain an EU passport from another memberstate before making their way to Britain. We are famous for our generosity and free state welfare. This is why I hate socialism so much.

When we have control of our own country, we can invite migrants from our former colonies to come and work here again. Remember that the EU told us that we cannot employ (non-EU) Indian doctors. Why should we allow the EU to dictate who we can allow into our country?

Migrants should have 'human rights' and that is all.
