Published Date: 23 July 2008
A HEADTEACHER is cracking down on schoolgirls who turn up for class looking "orange" after using cheap fake tans.
The trend, favoured by celebrity glamour girls such as Jordan and Jodie Marsh, has been adopted by thousands of young women.

But for the young ladies at Baines School in Lancashire, founded nearly 300 years ago, the future may be bright but is certainly not orange.

The headteacher, Carol Robinson, said: "We have young girls coming into school, 11 and 12, who feel pressured to go out and daub themselves in this orange.

"They have streaks on their legs and orange hands," she said. "That is what we are saying is not acceptable."

• Meanwhile, Plymouth City Council in Devon has banned cheese on the lunchtime jacket potatoes in all 17 of its primary schools in an attempt to meet the government's nutrient standards.

The ban on cheese is a novel and laudable idea. Well done Plymouth CC.

Gods Sake!, Girls growing-up love experimenting with hair colour etc, its just a stage they go through. my daughter had a very,..'Bad Hair Month', after her continual Dyeing of her hair, it turned 'Bright Green' :D

She then wore a 'Baseball Cap' for 2months everywhere she went!

Lesson Learnt! :D

And 'SUFF' the NO Cheese on your Jackets, sneak your own Cheese in!!

Cankers ~8,

Yes I know what you speak, its my DYW, that I feel for, 10+ and she keeps hoping, and I hope for her.
For me, 'YES' to have a wife in the, 'Pregnant way' will be absolutely beautiful, what more would I want,?

'NOTHING'!

Crazy,? some will say!, "Why you want Kids",?

All I can say, it is Love!

Yes and if we are Blessed, our Babies/Children WILL have, "Cheese", be allowed to try out Fake Sun Tan, have tattoo's, and have their belly piercing, if that's the vogue!

Think with the young and stay young!

Glad I was 'Blessed' with my DYW!

But to be honest, I am subconsciously really suffering from 'Stress' at the mo!

Hence my blog to you!

Thanks for listening to my worries.

I agree with you again. Charlie-Boy has really found his niche as an artist.
Welll done Charlie-boy. keep up the graphics.

On the story...is banning cheese on the tatties a worth-while idea? After all does not cheese contain calcium and protiens that a growing person requires? They may be getting ~zero calcium at home and milk is not on the menu at schools these days I think!

No. 12:- Yeah, what's wrong with cheese? It's better than drinking coke or eating something thats been made purely out of chemicals.

Who is pressurising them then? Come on Hootsman, tell us!

Perosnally I find that daubing onself in orange results in pips all over the place and a sticky feeling.

I speak Mandarin fluently. (As long as my conversation partner is a 5-year-old.) Now cheese ... I love it. Orange cheese is tops.

You can speak with my 4 year-old daughter, then - Mandarin is her first language! :)
