Homeless man to get apology

THE city council has been told to apologise to a homeless man after failing to properly deal with his complaints about the his eviction from temporary accommodation.
The Scottish Public Services Ombudsman found that the council's initial investigation of the complaint was unsatisfactory because it contained no specific witness evidence.

Once the man escalated his complaint, however, the ombudsman found that appropriate inquiries were made and recorded. Despite this, the council has been asked to apologise for the failures in the complaint's initial handling.
