More tracks laid as trams show progress

FRESH images have been released highlighting progress on Edinburgh’s much-delayed tram project.
The pictures reveal that tracks have now been laid at Haymarket and South St Andrew Street while overhead line poles have also been installed at Carrick Knowe Bridge.
Transport convener Lesley Hinds said: “The last month has been a significant one for the project. A full report will be considered by the council on October 25.”
