Car show gears up for the crowds at Ingliston

PETROL heads can cast their eyes over more than 1000 cars that will be revving up at the Scottish Car Show at Ingliston tomorrow.

Models from classic and retro to modern and modified will feature in the event at the Royal Highland Centre. There will also be a stunt show, motorcycle displays, live music and family entertainment.

The show brings together vehicles from car clubs throughout the UK and will feature inter-club challenges to compete for the title 2012 Scottish Car Show Champions.

Organisers say the event is Scotland’s only indoor car show, with the “Top 50” arena showcasing the best cars around.

The programme also includes outdoor track events featuring European “drift” champion Mark Luney, world record holding stunt biker Kevin Carmichael and the “Drift Taxis”, which will offer passenger laps.

Family attractions include go-karting, children’s quadbiking, mini-paintball and a petting zoo.

This will be the ninth time the show has been held at Ingliston. It runs from 10am until 4pm. Prices on the gate are £17 for adults, £10 for children aged 11-16 and concessions. Kids under ten go free.
