Snooker: McGillivray still 100 per cent in Latvia:

Granton snooker ace Craig McGillivray maintained his 100 per cent winning record at the round-robin stage of the European Amateur championship in Latvia.

McGillivray followed up his opening day win with a 4-0 defeat of Maxime Shkundalev (Belarus) before making breaks of 106 and 86 in a 4-1 victory over Ahmed Benraissi (France).

James McBain (Glasgow) and Scott Donaldson (Perth) are also unbeaten and remain on course to reach the last 64, with Donaldson making breaks of 115, 98 and 76 in a 4-0 whitewash of Francisco Rodriguez (Spain). McGillivray plays his final group match today against Latvia’s Alexander Iljin knowing a win will ensure he is one of the top seeds for the knockout stages.
