Snooker: Leslie loses to Robertson

Bonnyrigg’s Michael
Leslie lost 4-2 to 2010 world champion Neil Robertson in a high-quality opening round match at the Players Tour Championship Event 3 at the South West Snooker Academy in Gloucester.

It was a disappointing weekend for Scottish players, with none of them reaching the last-16 stage.

Stephen Maguire, Graeme Dott, Anthony McGill and Scott Donaldson also lost out in the opening round, while Marcus Campbell and John Higgins reached the last 64 before going out. Jamie Burnett and Alan McManus both reached the last 32. Burnett lost 4-1 to Jamie Cope while McManus led England’s Stuart Bingham 3-0 before losing the last four frames to go out 4-3.
