Scots no match for Luxembourg in cup

Scotland’s women’s volleyball team lost 18-25 14-25 15-25 to hosts Luxembourg in their opening match in the Novotel Cup last night.

It leaves them with an uphill task as they seek to fill one of the medal places and face a strong Norway side in their next match at the D’Coque facility in Luxembourg City. The Norwegians took care of England in straight sets 26-24 25-19 25-22, in a tournament which also features the Czech Republic.
