Hearts slap £1m price tag on David Templeton
David Templeton
HEARTS were today seeking close to £1million for David Templeton as Cardiff City, Nottingham Forest, Bristol City, Blackburn Rovers and Rangers prepared to fight for the winger’s signature before midnight.
The Tynecastle club has received interest from teams in England’s Premier League, Championship and the Scottish Premier League, which could mean some frantic negotiations before the January transfer window closes.
Templeton, 23, would prefer a move to England and much will depend on who is willing to offer the highest fee for his services. Hearts want as near to £1million as possible for a player they signed from Stenhousemuir for an initial fee of £30,000 in January 2007.
Cardiff have had Templeton watched on several occasions this season and manager Malky Mackay is a huge admirer. Blackburn’s Steve Kean, Forest’s Steve Cotterill, Bristol’s Derek McInnes and Rangers’ Ally McCoist are also willing to bid for the player and are aware of interest from other clubs.
Hearts have already sold Eggert Jonsson to Wolverhampton Wanderers and Ryan Stevenson to Ipswich Town during the current transfer window. They are in no rush to move Templeton on as his contract does not expire until 2013, but will do business if the price is right.

Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 05:02 PMSo all the prayers of the Hobos haven't been answered. Looks like another thumping for the Hobos yet again. My only regret is that we can only get three more points out of them this season.

Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 01:02 AMAnd we'll just have to wait until the next derby for Temps to waltz his way through the Hibs defence. Or Rudi to keep up his goal-machine exploits. Or Black to paint the place maroon.

Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 12:42 AMOh well. Now that the Transfer window has closed, and NONE of the big earners have left Tynie, we'll just have to wait till wages day for the next installment from the Castle of Comedy

Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 11:38 PM#281 Duncan This is Chick Young trying to regain a tiny amount of respectability. After getting found out with the fabricated nonsense he said about Hearts he had no other choice except to bite the bullet and do the thing he most feared: a negative story about Rangers. Sure, he's only a few months late but at least he got there in the end.

Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 11:05 PMHow do you think McJobby will cope with Temps and Taioul....... my bet is Clogger will be getting rid of all that Brazilian flair in the first training session... " we dont play football here, Jobby lad, we kick the opposition, its the Hubz way|

Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 11:03 PMLooks like Hibs are serious contenders for 11th place in the league now. All that talent they have just signed, together with the Irish Mourhinio...... could be closer than we first though for the Pars. My bet is Fife will still have an SPL team next year however. Cant wait for the derby to see the new Roberto Carlos and the Pitbull getting the runaround from Black and Rudi..... its actually not really fair.

Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 10:53 PMI really can't decide what is funnier: 1) The hibbies who are gutted that we haven't sold half our squad on the cheap; or 2) The hibbies on here pretending to be jambos and their pathetic "Vlad must go" campaign (or should I say one extremely sad hibby with numerous usernames!)
