Rugby: Boroughmuir warm up against Accies, Stirling and Dundee

Hosts Boroughmuir won one and lost two matches in their round-robin pre-season tournament on Saturday.

The four clubs involved, ’Muir, Edinburgh Accies, Stirling County and Dundee HSFP, used the 40-minute matches at Meggetland to try out combinations ahead of the start of the RBS Premiership this coming weekend. Boroughmuir defeated Accies, but lost to County and Dundee HSFP and were happy with the work out.

Over at Goldenacre, Heriot’s set out their stall for the top flight campaign with a thumping 70-14 victory over Capital rivals Watsonians.

Currie lost to a Newcastle Falcons ‘A’/Academy side on Friday.
