Yes and No to Porty’s Beach Busk

THE two sides in the referendum battle could find themselves clashing tomorrow as they both target Portobello in a weekend campaigning drive.

The pro-independence Yes Scotland campaign is setting up a stall from 11am near the swim centre as part of Porty’s “Big Beach Busk”, which promises a fun day with all kinds of street entertainers from a one-man band to a balloon modeller and magician along the length of the prom.

Meanwhile the anti-
independence Better Together team kicks off at the same time with some door-knocking led by Craigentinny/Duddingston councillor Alex Lunn, followed by a street stall and canvassing in Portobello High Street from 11.30am until 2pm, and ending with a barbecue for its
volunteers.
