Cable goes bionic on visit to famed hi-tech factory

BUSINESS Secretary Vince Cable has paid a visit to Livingston-based company Touch Bionics.

The firm has developed a worldwide reputation for its work in prosthetics, developing a myoelectric prosthetic hand and prosthetic finger solutions.

Dr Cable’s visit was welcomed by Livingston MP Graeme Morrice, who put the company forward for a national award following his own visit last year. “I am pleased to see this world-leading company receiving recognition from UK ministers,” he said.

“Touch Bionics exemplifies the kind of innovative, high-tech companies we need to celebrate and promote.”
