West Lothian unveils latest adult learning drive-time
INTENSIVE courses from learning to drive to making ends meet are being offered in West Lothian this summer.
Adult Basic Education (ABE) is running the courses, called Skint, Playlab and Driving Theory.
Driving Theory helps people to prepare for their test by exploring areas including road signs, stopping distances and hazard perception. There are six two-hour sessions over three weeks at Forestbank Community Centre in Ladywell.
Skint, which sees participants learn about budgeting, benefits, saving and borrowing, will take place across six two-hour sessions over three weeks at the Chill Out Zone in Bathgate.
Playlab involves exploring fun ways to help children learn by designing games and activities. The six two-hour sessions take place over three weeks in Boghall.
ABE is running a series of tasters across West Lothian of Get Ahead, Get Warm, which is designed to help people get more for their money from their energy bills. For more information, call 0800 7311 831 or e-mail adultbasiceducation@westlothian.gov.uk
