A HADDINGTON landmark is back on public view after being refurbished in a £3000 facelift.

The weather vane at Haddington Town House was returned to the top of its steeple after undergoing shot blasting treatment and re-gilding in gold leaf.

It also received two coats of lacquer and the stone finial below was redecorated.

The work precedes impending repairs to the steeple, which are due to start this summer with help from a Historic Scotland grant.
