A COMMUNITY group in south Edinburgh is set to be awarded funding to produce hundreds of booklets documenting the experiences of those living in the area during the Second World War.

Oxgangs Care will receive £1300 to allow it to produce 500 copies of the reminiscences. The funding has been awarded through the city council’s Pentlands Neighbourhood Partnership.

It is expected to be formally approved on Tuesday.
