Two in dock over drugs

TWO men have been charged with drug offences after police raids recovered cannabis worth £164,000 from a pair of homes.

Around 6kg of herbal cannabis along with a large number of cannabis plants and hydroponic growing equipment were found at addresses in Hazelwood Grove and Ruthven Place, both in the Inch. A 48-year-old man and a 37-year-old man have been charged. They were due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday.

Sergeant Laura Brunton, from the force’s local drug action team, said: “We would appeal to the public to contact the police if they have information with regards to drug dealing activity within their community.”
