TV award for Sir Chris and London team

OLYMPIC cycling hero Sir Chris Hoy is set to pick up yet another award tonight – at the National Television Awards.

The Freeman of Edinburgh will collect the Landmark Award on behalf of London 2012 alongside Lord Seb Coe, and David Weir CBE.

The award will handed over by 60 young athletes who hope to make their mark at the next Olympics in Rio in 2016.

Coverage of the glittering ceremony at the O2 Arena will be shown on STV tonight from 7.30pm.
