Turn on and tune in for tourism drive

A NEW TV advert will air for the first time later this week as part of a multi-million pound national marketing campaign.

The Year of Natural Scotland 2013 tourism drive will target a range of international markets and is expected to bring £68 million into the Scottish economy.

The £3.4m VisitScotland campaign was due to be launched this morning at the Royal Botanic Garden
Edinburgh.

The advert will be screened on STV on Friday night, with a major giveaway also lined up for April when 15,000 people will be given a free trip to a Scottish destination.

Mike Cantlay, VisitScotland chairman, said: “The Year of Natural Scotland is a wonderful opportunity to showcase Scotland’s spectacular natural environment and our new advert shows the country in all its majestic beauty ranging from wildlife to exciting outdoor activities.”
