Three on bike theft charges

A TRIO of teenage boys have been arrested by police after they were caught with bikes which were believed to be  stolen.

The three 14-year-olds were stopped by Lothian and Borders officers on Lower London Road and five bikes were  recovered.

Police are working to trace the owners of the bikes, which are thought to have been  taken from stairwells in the London Road and Meadowbank areas.

The youths are set to be reported to the Children’s Reporter after being detained on Friday afternoon.
