ScottishPower says pockets of homes in the west of the city will continue to be affacted

A POWER cut has hit thousands of homes in the west of the city.

Electricty failed in properties at around 12.40pm following a fault at a substation on Telford Road.

ScottishPower engineers immediately began worked on the fault and supply was diverted from another source.

A spokesman for ScottishPower said: “A fault was discovered but the majority of homes are already back on supply.

“Pockets of homes in the west of the city will continue to be affacted but we hope to have this swiftly resolved.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
