Tango the terrapin was abandoned at Royal Botanic Gardens
A TERRAPIN is being cared for after being abandoned at the Royal Botanic Gardens.
The discovery was made on Monday when a worker spotted the freshwater turtle in one of the heated greenhouses.
SSCPA rescue officer Jeni Wright said: “Someone has taken Tango there with the intention of dumping him.
“They may have thought they were doing the right thing but abandoning an animal under any circumstances is a criminal offence.”
