Support for the home team

A YOUTH football team from Gorebridge has received a financial boost from a housing developer.

The donation to Hunterfield BC 94s by Persimmon Homes will help fund training equipment.

The under-19s football team, who are on track to win the Edinburgh League, train at Arniston Park, next to Persimmon’s Dewar Park housing development.

Head coach Colin Quinn said: “We are a self-funded club and it’s donations like this that help to keep the club going.”

Persimmon Homes East Scotland’s sales director, Lorraine Clelland, said: “We strive to support local talent and community projects where we can. We would like to wish the team the very best of luck on achieving the top spot at the end of the season.”
