Snow scoops uni honour

BROADCASTER Jon Snow was receiving an honorary degree at Edinburgh University today.

He was this morning being awarded with a doctor honoris causa at the ceremony in the McEwan Hall.

Mr Snow, who has been at Channel 4 news since 1989, began his career in journalism in 1983 as ITN’s Washington correspondent. He has also broadcast on radio, written and last year presented the award-winning documentaries Sri Lanka’s Killing Fields.
