Sculptors to chip in for work

CONTEMPORARY art students will be able to work on their sculpture skills thanks to a partnership with the Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop (ESW).

Edinburgh College has teamed up with ESW to increase employability among students. People studying towards an HND in Contemporary Art Practice will develop their practical skills at a new employability centre at ESW.

The £4 million development in Newhaven will offer a professional environment and the chance to work beside artists.

Alan Holligan, lecturer at Edinburgh College, said: “Our aim is to establish links with as many of the industries our students will go on to work in to give them the best chance possible when it comes to employment.”
