Scots rocker Fish dives in to help restaurant

Scots rocker Fish is making a splash in his home town by playing a special gig to raise cash for his favourite restaurant after it was wrecked by flooding.

Fish was gutted when the 17th century Waterloo Bistro in Haddington, East Lothian, was left water-logged after the nearby River Tyne flooded in July, causing hundreds of
thousands of pounds worth of damage.

Now the 54-year-old former Marillion frontman is wading in to help owner and pal Paul Kinnoch conquer the recurring
problem.

He is hosting a one-off acoustic gig in the town’s St Mary’s Parish Church on
September 28 to raise funds
for a flood protection scheme.

Fish, above, said: “During the flood two-and-a-half feet of water had come in and
completely wiped out the
restaurant.

“The flooding is an ongoing problem. There needs to be action taken so we’re doing a benefit gig to try to set up a flood protection scheme.”
