‘Reflection’ plan hailed
A COUNCIL bid to represent all faiths, beliefs and civic interests by having a “pause for reflection” at the start of meetings has been welcomed by the National Secular Society (NSS).
The ten-minute reflective periods will replace prayers that were held before monthly meetings of all councillors.
It follows a row earlier this year after the NSS targeted Edinburgh for being one of the only Scottish councils to still hold prayers before its monthly meetings of all councillors.
