Protesters to mark one year

Occupy Edinburgh is to hold a day of entertainment to celebrate its first birthday.

St Andrew Square will be filled with information stalls and four hours of theatrical performances as well as live music from inside a mock-up TV.

Organiser Mike Ferrigan said: “This will be a fantastic opportunity for the Edinburgh public to find out about the problems and solutions, from a range of organisations, to the austerity measures and environmental crisis that we’re experiencing.” The event takes place on Saturday from 1pm to 5pm.
