Police target crime at mall

Lothian and Borders Police are launching an operation to target retail crime in one of Edinburgh’s busiest shopping centres over the festive period.

Operation Divisible will see officers from Howdenhall Safer Neighbourhood Teams specifically target retail crime within Cameron Toll Shopping Centre, whilst providing a visible presence in the centre and offering crime prevention advice to the public.

The operation takes place between tomorrow and Tuesday, January 8 – traditionally the busiest time for shops, thanks to Christmas and the January sales.
