Ian McCance died after a road accident

A MAN who died after a road accident at the weekend was named by police today as 64-year-old Ian McCance from Marchmont Crescent.

The 64-year-old suffered serious head injuries after being involved in a collision with a black cab in Marchmont Road at around 3.10am on Saturday.

In a statement issued through the police, Mr McCance’s family said: “Our family is devastated by the sudden and tragic loss of our much loved and loving father.”

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward and assist with their enquiries.
