Pair safe after fire

A TEENAGER and another man have been treated in hospital after a chip pan caught fire in their home.

Fire crews and medics rushed to the scene of the incident in a property in West Main Street, Armadale, following an emergency call shortly after 2pm yesterday.

The casualties, one aged 16 and the other 47, escaped after being alerted to the fire by a passer-by, who also contained the blaze by placing a damp cloth on the chip pan.
