A PAINTING by an artist hired to cover the Olympics is to go under the hammer at city auction house Lyon & Turnbull.

Glasgow School of Art graduate Toby Paterson’s £4000 work depicts a diving board and is titled The Season’s Reverse 2.

Nick Curnow, of the Broughton Place auction house, said: “Toby recently undertook the role of lead artist on the extension to the Docklands Light Railway for the London Olympics 2012.”

The painting will be sold on August 15.
