‘No top job’ for Murdoch

ELISABETH Murdoch has denied she wants to succeed her father Rupert as head of the News Corp media empire – and acknowledged her role in forcing out Rebekah Brooks over the phone hacking
scandal.

Speaking at the Edinburgh Television Festival, the 44-year old said: “I really harbour absolutely no ambition for a top job.”

She also revealed that she had pressed for the resignation of Brooks, during talks on how to deal with the phone hacking affair which shook the Murdoch empire last year.
