New restaurant on the menu at upgraded hotel courtyard

A NEW “restaurant courtyard” off the Royal Mile has secured its first permanent tenant.

Zizzi Restaurant will move into Roxburgh Court, the £45 million upgrade of Advocates Close.

The pizzeria’s deal leaves only two vacant sites in the courtyard, which is being built around a new hotel from German chain Motel One.

Chris Stewart, whose company is behind the development, said: “We are looking for two remaining restaurants looking to benefit from reliable footfall alongside Scotland’s most popular tourist attraction.

“We know that the opportunity to work from new-build standard premises in an area steeped in history is a major attraction.”
