New premises for Post Office

Bruntsfield Post Office has been reopened in brighter premises.

Post Office Ltd had to temporarily close the Bruntsfield Post Office branch, on September 15 last year, following the withdrawal of the premises for its use.

Following the end of the formal period of public consultation, and having reviewed comments from customers and local representatives, the branch was reopened recently in new premises at Bruntsfield News, 115 Bruntsfield Place.

It is understood most of the feedback from members of the community was in favour of re-opening the branch to ensure important local services were not lost.

Brian Turnbull, field change adviser for Post Office Ltd, said: “Our priority is to safeguard Post Office services to the local community in the longer term.”
