Richard Bouglet is director of wine merchant l’Art du Vin. A well-kept secret amongst restaurants and bars, the merchant is now making its wines available to consumers at www.aduv.co.uk.

1 Who would be your ideal weekend companion? My wife, Emma.

2 Where would you take her in Edinburgh? To see the Scottish Colourists exhibition at the City Art Centre.

3 Where would you go for breakfast, lunch and dinner and why? Breakfast at home with the kids, foraging for chanterelles and brambles followed by a picnic lunch and dinner “en tete a tete” at one of the many fabulous Edinburgh restaurants.

4 What item could you not be without and why? My phone – to keep in touch with my business but also to stay on top of the football scores!

5 How would you finish your perfect weekend? Family Sunday roast with meat 
from my local butcher, Gosford Bothy.
