Mum to donate funds from nearly new sale to Sick Kids

A mum-of-two is holding the tenth annual Polwarth Nearly New Sale and will donate this year’s funds to the Sick Kids Friends Foundation (SKFF).

Elaine Hopley has organised the event to sell more than 3000 items including children’s toys, maternity wear, nursery equipment and many more nearly new products.

The event will be manned by a 70-strong team of volunteers on Saturday, November 10 between 10am and 1pm.

Elaine, who is a teacher, said: “We are encouraging everyone to come along to our event on Saturday and purchase some of our nearly new items. We have a vast selection of stock on offer.

“The Sick Kids Friends Foundation is a fantastic charity that supports families and children suffering from illness throughout the country and we are delighted to donate all of the funds raised at our event to them.”

Maureen Harrison, chief executive of SKFF, said: “Your funds make a huge difference to our work and we are very grateful to receive them.”
