Missing man turns up safe

A DEMENTIA sufferer sparked a police hunt after going missing from his home.

John Wilken, 61, had been last seen leaving his home in Comely Bank Place at around 6.15am yesterday.

Police launched a public appeal for help in tracing Mr Wilken amid concerns that the keen walker, who is capable of covering large distances on foot, may not have been aware of his surroundings.

Mr Wilken was found safe and well yesterday afternoon.
