McDonald’s staff lovin’ the clean-up work in thecity centre

WORKERS from McDonald’s on Princes Street have taken part in a clean-up operation in the city centre.

The team of 20 was backed by the Keep Scotland Beautiful initiative and the city council, which donated cleaning materials.

They cleaned more than 50 bins along Princes Street, Rose Street and George Street in time for the busy tourist summer months.

Restaurant franchisee Andrew Watson said: “I’d like to thank our staff for their hard work and setting a good example of what can be achieved if people pull together. Everyone from local businesses like mine to the residents of Edinburgh should make a commitment to helping protect the local environment.”
